For many years this retail-focused event has been held in conjunction with the Garden Expo Trade Show & Conference in October. For a number of reasons Garden Expo is coming back home and will merge with Congress Trade Show & Conference in 2017.

Our original vision of hosting a world-class trade show incorporating all sectors of the landscape and horticultural value chain is still valid. We look forward to growth. "Change comes bearing gifts".

This newly formatted garden centre focused event will include a full workshop with business guru Tom Shay and also include the Awards of Excellence Ceremony for the Garden Centre and Growers Programs.

Registration fees
$75 for a member or non-member.
Admission to Congress '17 Trade Show Exhibits and the Tailgate Party is included in registration prices. The Congress Conference and other special events are a separate fee.

  • The Science & Art of Buying and Selling
    9:30 am – 10:45 am
    Buying is more than just selecting an item, deciding how many to order, and applying a multiplier factor to the cost to determine the price. The reality is there are eight key factors in getting that merchandise from vendor to customer. Tom will explain how to maximize the effort with each of the eight factors. Sales will increase as will inventory turn, and markdowns will diminish as both the art and science of buying are successfully applied. What are the eight key factors? Join Tom to find out!
