Giordano is a turfgrass pathologist and Green Solutions Specialist for Bayer Environmental Science in Canada. He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University where his dissertation work dealt with the discovery and characterization of a new bacterial disease of creeping bentgrass caused by Acidovorax avenae.
Dr. Giordano has extensive experience in practical turf management and research and has published numerous journal articles on various projects including investigating the effects of lightweight rolling on dollar spot suppression. He has worked in the turfgrass industry for over 15 years, and has held positions at both public and private golf clubs in the United States. He joined the Bayer Green Solutions Team in March, 2014 where he currently resides in Oakville, Ontario with his wife Courtney and daughter Ada
